Raising Awareness: April is National Donate Life Month
April 21, 2022
The North American Transplant Coordinators Organization (NATCO) has been providing education and professional development for donation and transplant professionals for over 40 years. Our organization partners with many associations to help increase the number of donated organs, eyes and tissues available to save and heal lives through transplantation while developing a culture where donation is embraced as a fundamental human responsibility. Our partnership with Donate Life America, established in 1992, works to raise awareness in the donation and transplantation community to help motivate the public to register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor, and to promote donation through events and observances that take place throughout the year.
National Donate Life Month (NDLM) was established by Donate Life America in 2003. Observed in April each year, National Donate Life Month features an entire month of activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and to honor those that have saved lives through the gift of donation. By spreading the word and educating others about donation, we can take small steps each day towards saving more lives.
National Donate Life Month 2022: Bee A Donor!
For National Donate Life Month (NDLM) 2022, Donate Life America was inspired by the vital role that bees play in sustaining life. Bees are a small but powerful life force, working together with dedication, collaboration, and a strong sense of community.
This National Donate Life Month, we ask you to be a part of this interconnected life-sustaining community by registering as an organ, eye and tissue donor; becoming educated about living donation; and championing the Donate Life cause.
We wish you a Happy National Donate Life Month. Thank you for your efforts in promoting organ, eye and tissue donation and the importance of registering your decision.
