Kidney Care Partners Welcomes Reid Kiser as Coalition’s Quality Consultant

February 20, 2024

WASHINGTONKidney Care Partners (KCP) – the nation’s leading kidney care multi-stakeholder coalition representing patient advocates, physician organizations, health professional groups, dialysis providers, researchers and manufacturers – is pleased to announce its partnership with Reid Kiser, Founding Partner of Kiser Health Solutions, LLC.

Kiser will lead the coalition’s response to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) End-Stage Renal Disease Quality Incentive Program (QIP) in conjunction with KCP’s quality and payment workgroups and monitor and advise on other quality measure proposals affecting individuals with renal failure.

“Meeting our community’s goals is impossible if we’re not looking at the right metrics, so the role of quality and outcome measures cannot be overstated,” said Reid Kiser. “I’m excited to step into this role and work to promote not only realistic but meaningful measures in kidney care.”

Kiser has over two decades of experience in healthcare quality measures, with a strong background in value-based care, performance measurement, data analytics and reporting, provider and patient engagement, business systems, and program design and implementation. Most recently, Kiser served as the Director for the Division of Quality Measurement for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), overseeing the development and implementation of quality measures across the agency.

“We are delighted to welcome Reid Kiser to our team at Kidney Care Partners,” stated Mahesh Krishnan, MD, Chair of KCP. “Reid’s extensive experience will be pivotal in advancing quality policy initiatives and positively impacting patients with renal disease across the continuum, from CKD to dialysis to transplant.”
